About this product
String fuses protect a solar array from reverse current. If one string develops a fault, every other string wired in parallel will push current back into it — and without a fuse that current has nowhere safe to go.
This is the fuse link on its own: a 10×38 mm cartridge with a gPV characteristic, designed specifically for photovoltaic DC circuits. An ordinary AC fuse is not a substitute. DC current never crosses zero, so the arc inside a fuse not built for DC can keep burning instead of clearing.
